So many secrets to find, and here’s another one for you!

There are a lot of secrets to discover in Black Myth: Wukong, and a lot of them hide optional bosses behind them. One such secret is that sand wall that you can find in the second chapter of the story. In this guide, we will be going through the steps you need to follow in order to go past it and face whatever lies beyond.
How to Cross Sand Wall | Chapter 2
First of all, you will need to travel to the Valley of Despair shrine. This is where you fought the father & son duo rat bosses, or more specifically, the King of Flowing Sands and the Second Prince of Flowing Sands.
After that, head to the cave that is nearby. If you haven’t yet, you will have to fight a giant rat boss known as the First Prince of the Flowing Sands. It isn’t a very noteworthy encounter, so I’ll just assume you can beat him.
In his very small arena, there will be a wall with a different color. You can either lure him into breaking it or you can manually smash it using a spirit. I did this using the Wandering Wight spirit.
If you didn’t manage to get the boss to break it and you don’t have a spirit to use, then check out this guide on how to beat the Wandering Wight boss and come back once you have successfully done so.
Once you have broken it, you can now enter through the crack. This will take you into a new zone, which contains a chest that has some Loong Scales. That’s all you really need from here, or anywhere else.
You can now return to the sand wall. Use your Incense Trail Talisman and use the shrine to teleport back to the one at Rockrest Flat.
Going Past the Sand Wall
With the Loong Scales, you can now remove the sand wall and unveil a stone door behind it. All you can do from here is to just enter it and see what’s inside.
WARNING: This will automatically start a boss fight. Make sure you are ready for one before opening the door!
Black Loong Cavern – Boss Fight
In the cavern, you will be faced with the Black Loong secret boss. He has lightning based attacks and a whole lot of area of effect. He is far from the hardest boss in the chapter, so you should be fine.
His attacks are very slow and predictable, and I’m sure you can easily hit some perfect dodges without any practice. However, there is one move that you must pay attention to.
When he takes a moment to breathe lightning on his weapons, you’re going to want to run far away and regenerate as much stamina as you can. He’s about to do a rhythm-based attack that will send rings that will sweep the entire arena.
When he starts this attack, you will want to dodge and roll to avoid getting hit. Again, I have to emphasis this, you must alternate both rolls and dodges.
If you only stick to one, or even just try to use two rolls or two dodges in a row, you will get hit because there will be a short delay afterwards. Alternating is the key, as well as trying not to panic.
Depending on how the fight goes, this attack will typically be used once or twice. When he’s done, he will slam the ground and charge up a more powerful ring. After a brief moment, he will release it, and you should either jump or dodge again.
And trust me, you do not want to get hit by the final ring. That thing will deal around twice the damage of the regular rings and leave you open to another attack (though he’s probably too slow to do so).
Once you have beaten him, congratulations! You will now be able to claim the Thunderbone, which is an item that can be used to craft one of the game’s many staves. However, this will also require another component that can be acquired through another secret boss.
That’s a problem for another day, though. Take a breather and continue on with the story, as there is much more to discover in the Yellow Wind Ridge zone!
