Workplace burnout is one of the top concerns of Gen Z and young millennials — and with workplace stress at an all-time high since 2021, it makes sense that young professionals want to know how to curb it and maintain sustainable careers.
Hilton Grand Vacations’ director of content and social media, Catalina H., recently spoke to the summer intern class, addressing their questions, several of which were about managing burnout.
“Get to know yourself,” advised Catalina. “You need to figure out what energizes you. It could be working out, meditation or maintaining work-life balance. For me, it’s travel. I stay refreshed and reenergized as long as I can take a few long vacations a year and immerse myself in a new place and culture. So travel is incredibly important to me.”

Catalina shared an example of how she used the Team Member travel program. “My most recent trip was to London. We went as a group of four with my significant other and our good friends. We spent a lot of time discovering the many quaint streets of London, eating our way through the city and taking a tour of Buckingham Palace, which recently reopened to visitors. It was magnificent and worth it to see the history that sits within those ornate walls.”

Catalina added, “It was my first time in England and some of my friends’ first time in Europe, which made the trip more special. Catalina’s career — and travel bucket list — has just begun. “I love that sometimes I go places I didn’t have on my list because an irresistible deal pops up.
